Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 8, 2026 · Keto Maps LLC

This policy supplements the Keto Maps Privacy Policy. It is provided because some U.S. state laws may treat dietary preferences, use of a diet-related app, or precise location connected with health-related activity as consumer health data.

Independent guide

All trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners. Keto Maps is an independent guide and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any restaurant, grocer, or brand listed.

Data and sources

Purposes

We process this information only to provide requested nearby restaurant and dietary-guide features, remember on-device preferences, secure and diagnose the Service, comply with law, and respond to your requests. Network behavioral analytics is currently disabled.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell consumer health data. Information may be processed as needed by Vercel (hosting and request security), Sentry (error diagnostics), OpenFreeMap (interactive map tiles and fonts), the OpenStreetMap Foundation (detail map previews), your operating-system provider, and a maps or restaurant service that you choose to open. Formspree receives optional restaurant requests and delivers them to us: the entered restaurant name, selected city or area if available, submission time and request type. This submission does not include device GPS coordinates. Received requests can remain in Formspree’s archive and delivered email copies. Open Food Facts receives requests for remotely loaded product photos, and Apple’s image service receives requests for map-app icons; these requests also include technical network information. They do not upload camera images. Sentry error diagnostics may include the recent technical and interaction context described in the Privacy Policy. Earlier builds may also send automatic session-health diagnostics, as explained in the Privacy Policy. PostHog behavioral forwarding is disabled. We do not use consumer health data for targeted advertising.

Map services receive the requested map area and technical request information such as IP address and browser or app information. Detail map previews request the venue’s published area, rather than directly requesting your device’s GPS position. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.

Your choices and rights

You can deny or withdraw location permission in device settings, use the app without precise location, clear on-device app data, or delete the app. Depending on where you live, you may request access, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or information about collection and sharing, and may appeal a denied request. Email hello@ketomaps.app. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a right.

Deletion and retention

The active app-local copy of your preferences remains until you clear app data or uninstall. Depending on your operating system and device settings, backup or transfer services may retain or copy local app data; clearing or uninstalling the app may not remove those separate copies. Restaurant requests and diagnostic records sent off the device are separate from the app-local copy; clearing or uninstalling the app does not delete them. Contact hello@ketomaps.app about retention or deletion of information that can reasonably be associated with you. Because Keto Maps has no account, we may need information from your device to locate a pseudonymous record and may be unable to authenticate a request that cannot reasonably be linked.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy before materially changing these practices and will obtain consent when required. Contact hello@ketomaps.app or Keto Maps LLC, Florida, USA.
